OUT NOW! The Valken AR-1 Fully Pneumatic Rifle
As the first airsoft media partner from VALKEN Airsoft in Europe, we´ve already reported about the release of the Valken AR-1 rifle yesterday on our social media pages for you. Now followes the full (incl. some extra information which you don´t find anywhere else) article here on our blog. Enjoy it and thank us later.
So let´s start with the facts you´re interested at. It is made by First Strike and distributed exclusively by Valken. Out of the box it shoots 1.42 J with a 0.25g BB. Valken tested it up to 2.9 J with a 0.25g BB. Absolutely zero electronics inside the rifle. 600 shots per tank is a go. You can change the tank when the system is charged. The barrel nut threads are mil-spec so any real steel hand guard or rail can be installed without additional modification. It can also accommodate a real steel pistol grip. The take down pins operate like a real AR.
To adjust the velocity, push open the rear take down pin, and open the upper receiver. There is a velocity adjustment screw that you can access with a hex tool just behind the mag well.
To adjust the hop-up, there is a hole on the top rail of the upper receiver. It shows a large hex screw and a smaller hex screw inside the larger hex screw. The large hex screw is complete on and off. The small hex screw is to fine tune the hop up. When the small hex screw is adjusted, you only need to turn the big hex screw on and off.
The drawback to this fine tunable hop up system is that it is proprietary and an optic cannot be mounted above the hole or you cannot access the hop up screws. Keep that in mind. So optic must be forward or rear of hop up screws.
The body is made out of a high grade cast aluminum and is manufactured to the tightest tolerances for you so you get the best performance and fun while using it at the field.
