KLARUS is a china based company which produces high quality flashlights for a reasonable price for the Law Enforcement and the Military sector. Today we show you the small KLARUS XT1C LED FLASHLIGHT.
The KLARUS XT1C is a Tactical EDC flashlight with a netto-weight of 47gr. and a power of 245 (ANSI) Lumen from a Cree XP-G R5 LED. The XT in the name stands for Xtreme Tactical. The diameter is 24mm and the length is 99mm.
The flashlight comes in a small pouch which gives us the possibility to attach it to a belt. The velcro on the flap is not very long and strong. A better choice would have been a small push-button. With the available D-Ring on the pouch you can add the pouch with a snap hook to your vest or bag. The flap to access the lamp is longer and holds it securely in place.
The flashlight can be operated via the mode switch in three different luminosity levels ( 245lumens=1 hr // 60 lumens=4 hrs // 4 lumens=70hrs) + strobe mode (2hrs with changing frequency) which you can see in the video at the end of this review.
The flashlight always starts in the HIGH MODE! This can be usefull for civilians but also be annoying for the tactical use.
The XT1C can be powered by one rechargeable 16340 Lithium Ionen battery or a CR123 Lithium Ionen battery. The aircraft grade aluminum of the housing seems very stable and is very well made.
The POWER button is big enough and easily accessible. When the flashlight is off and you press the mode button the strobe mode starts directly.
As you can see in this picture the lamp is perfectly suited to be operated with one hand. The surface of the flashlight is very handy and easy to reach button.
